Consecutive Interpreting
The interpreter listens either the whole or certain part of the speech and after the speaker finishes, interprets it into target language with the notes she/he has take during the speech.Such interpretation may not be longer than the specific speech. Moreover, as a general rule, the interpretation must cover ¾ of the original speech. Among the interpretation services, consecutive and simultaneous interpretations are likely to require more specialization. An interpreter must have, besides being master of subjects, very strong understanding and speaking skills. During the consecutive interpretation, the interpreters sit at the meeting table together with the participants and do not need to use any technical equipment. Generally, consecutive interpretation is preferred in brief/formal/technical/
confidential sessions.
